# De Castelli: the value of matter in a virtual tour

## Dimensione3 digitizes Biomorphic, the exhibition presented at Salone del Mobile 2022

#### De Castelli: the value of the matter 

For four generations he writes the history of metal and recovers the special role of this material with completely original results. We're talking about [De Castelli](https://www.decastelli.com/), the Italian company that **plasma metals creating furniture and design furniture** that amaze all over the world.

Born in 2003 in the province of Treviso from the idea of Albino Celato, the fourth generation of a family of blacksmiths, De Castelli was among the first Italian companies to introduce **design in metal processing**, giving him a privileged role in design experimentation.

The materials are valued in a new way, respecting their potential, hidden or obvious, which slowly emerge in a collection of unique pieces, not only for the hand that created them, but also for the cultural path that puts in the center **the aesthetic value (and not only practical) of matter.**

#### Biomorphic: research and innovation

In his stand at Salone del Mobile 2022 De Castelli presented **Biomorphic**, the first act of a trajectory that will develop in the coming years.

Biomorphic launches organic and natural forms born from an in-depth **research on craft techniques** long forgotten, like hammering, used at the end of the nineteenth century, which were "rediscovered" and adopted thanks to **cutting edge technological processes** and the help of rare machinery.

At the center of the exhibition the large ovoid shape of **Ambrosia**, a brass desk designed by architect Roberto Nicoletti who embodies the tireless work of processing of curved surfaces. This technique creates soft and organic shapes and generates the magical reflection of light along the surface of the brass, offering an almost metaphysical view of the object.

The De Castelli stand was also presented **new furniture and decorative objects** realized in collaboration with Adriano Design, Francesco Forcellini, Luca Pevere, Martinelli Venezia, Elisa Ossino, Stormo Studio and Zanellato Bortotto, **fruit of the constant dialogue between the company and the most interesting Italian designers.**

#### **Virtual Tour: a permanent exhibition, beyond the time of a fair** 

At the Salone del Mobile De Castelli decided to stop its exhibition over time by entrusting to Dimensione3 a service [virtual tour](https://dimensione3.com/tour/) of the space set up at the fair.
